Real Madrid star Raul Albiol has heaped praise on his fellow new-boy, Cristiano Ronaldo, but suggests the Portuguese winger is just a "normal guy".

Albiol, speaking in an interview with Marca, also spoke of the "excitement" generated by the Champions League, heightened ever more by the fact that the 2010 final will be played at the Santiago Bernabeu.

When asked about Ronaldo, the ex-Valencia defender said, "Everone is curious to know [about Ronaldo]. He is a phenomenal player and it is a pleasure to know him because he is a normal guy, humble and a worker."
